"APPLE.COM/BILL 866-***-7753 CA


showed up on my credit card statement for $1.25. I have not idea what it is for and apple support has no record of the transaction.

That billing is a known scam. Your credit card has been compromised.

To stop it, you need to call your credit card company. Have them cancel your current card and issue you a new one.


That is also not Apple's iTunes phone number. Apple has a few numbers that end in 7753, but not that one.

If you see the exact same charge, then your Credit/Debit card has been compromised. This mostly occurs from a skimmer installed on a retail terminal. Gas Stations are the most common locations where you will see these type of devices that read your card numbers and capture PIN numbers if used. In this case you will want to contact the bank the card was issued from and report the charge.
