Photos from iPhone getting saved to my iPad as well

Hello! I got an iPhone 15 yesterday, and the photos I take on it, will be automaticly saved to my iPad 8th gen’s gallery. How can I turn this off? Thanks!

Turn iPad into photo album only I would like to be able to turn my old iPad into a photo album only so I can delete photos from my iPhone but still have them on the old iPad I no longer use. I have photos I want to keep but not necessarily on my phone but if I put them in a folder in my photos then delete the picture from recents it deletes it from everything. If I leave it, it is in both so it is taking up space in both folders. Is there a way to save a pic in an album then delete it from “recents” but still have it in the folder?

Turn off iCloud Photos at settings > photos

Both if you wish each device to retain its own photos and not sync to iCloud.
