IMessage Chat for a Specific Contact is Frozen

I had a large album of around 500 photos and videos in my files on my Iphone 14. I wanted to share them to a contact through IMessage so I selected 50 at a time and shared them using the share option in files. I repeatedly did that until all were sent, without waiting for the previous ones to finish sending. I believe after so much processing of large files being sent without pause, the chat is now completely frozen. I can access other chats and message other people but as soon as I enter this particular person's chat, IMessage freezes and I have to close it. I am enable to send messages to them or even scroll. I tried deleting the chat but that froze the entire IMessage app to the point where I couldn't message anyone else either. What is weird is that I can still message the person in question using other options like Siri or the share function through other apps. I really do not want to delete this chat. I have already tried restarted my phone multiple times and even updating. The chat is completely unusable.
