itunes no longer loads all songs onto iphone. A few random songs wont play.

When I sync my iphone to itunes on my windows 10 laptop, it will sync but a few of the songs in y playlists will no longer play. When I click on the music tab in itunes with my iphone connected, those songs are greyed out with a dotted circle next to them

When I plug my phone into the computer, it displays in itunes ok - I can see all the playlists, and I can play them if I want to, but I can't change the order at all. I have seen this question asked 100 times and the reply is always to make sure things are sorted by song, not the name/artist/something else, but that is not my problem. Clicking any of the columns has no effect whatsoever, and I am also not able to change the horizontal size of the columns. I just updated the iphone and have iOS 18.1.1.

iTunes shows no music on my device When using iTunes for PC, clicking on “on my device” shows no music for iPhone 14. I have all my songs downloaded to my phone and I can see my playlists. I have Apple Music with sync on. I was able to see songs on “on my device” before I had Apple Music. Is this normal?

Itunes shows songs on iphone, but music app does not Iphone 12, IOS 16.5.1 (c), Itunes 12.12.9.4 on Windows 11 22H2. If I plug my iphone into my computer and select it in Itunes and then select "Music" under "Devices", it shows mostly the same songs as the Itunes Library after I sync. However, there are many songs that are not "seen" by the Apple Music app or another app. I have tried using the "Iphone Storage" technique to remove all the music and then resync to no avail. I don't know where to start. Either Itunes is wrong, or the apps are wrong, but I don't know how to figure it out. Another note is after this "delete and sync", the running information at the top shows about half of my songs. Seems screwed up in multiple places.

If syncing isn't working as expected you may need to remove all of the music from the device (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music > Edit > All Songs > Delete) and then set up syncing again.
