Connect my Homepod using hotspot

How can i connect my Homepod Mini using hotspot connection, as i only use hotspot in my apartment and i do not have WiFi router?

You cannot. Note the setup requirements from the linked article:


  • HomePod uses the Wi-Fi network* that your iPhone or iPad is connected to. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and check that your iPhone or iPad is connected to Wi-Fi. Personal hotspots are not recommended.

* HomePod can connect to many 802.1X Wi-Fi networks and captive networks that require additional sign-in steps, such as networks provided by hotels or dorms.


It is technically possible to use a separate hotspot device to configure HomePod, but you cannot use the one generated by the phone you're using to set up HomePod.
