Can I re-name a device in HomeKit?

Why can’t you re-name the device name in HomeKit?


I have added a new TV into bedroom and HomeKit defaults its name to “Mrs’s TV”. When I rename it keeps changing the name back to “Mrs’s TV”. I have tried removing and re adding the device multiple times but no difference. Any ideas/help to solve would be appreciated, thank you.

Change the name using the settings app on the TV, not in HomeKit.
