jvc heaphones and find my iphone

I recently brought some new JVC ear buds (HA-A7T2) and i am trying to connect them to find my iphone as a third party device but it keepssaying they cannot be found. they are on and connected to the phone itself but it still cannot find it. can anyone help with this?
