Since 12.7.2 update Bluetooth not working

Since auto OS update to my iMac, it no longer lists or detects the Apple Smart Keyboard or headphones. Had to buy aftermarket wired keyboard just login again after repeated restarts and complete restarts. What’s the deal?

Final report. I took charging cable out of ground fault power strip I’ve been using for devices and connected directly to iMac. Like “magic” suddenly the old iMac Bluetooth started recognizing and reconnecting to each of my Bluetooth devices again as I repeated direct connection to them. They are now all working again and not directly connected by a cable. Happy New Year.

The post about when wireless keyboard is connected by cable and charging make it like a hardwired keyboard made me think of this fix.

Thanks everyone.

Okay it IS a MAGIC keyboard. All I know is this last Monterey OS update automatically installed this past Friday night (23rd) into my 2015 iMac has finally killed its Bluetooth capability when it booted up Christmas Eve. Thanks.

It is inevitable. Apple WILL always find away to force us to BUY BUY BUY their new super expensive products. I’m retired and my pension can’t afford their games anymore.

Terrific for you. I’ve not been that blessed. Owned their first generation iPhone until they stopped updating and supporting its OS. My second iPhone I kept until its battery exploded/bulged the case and it died when no one wanted to even attempt to repair it. My third iPhone lasted until the cost to replace the worn out specialized lighting charging port stopped working. Don’t get me started on my Apple computer history of enjoyment that began in 1994.

Good luck.
