Find & Replace grayed out

Any thoughts on how to get the grayed-out Find & Replace feature to activate in Numbers would be appreciated. Here is my screen:

That doesn’t looked like it’s greyed out, you successfully opened the find and replace dialog.

it looks like just the area to type into has text greyed out saying find, that usually goes away when you tap and type over it. The next and previous arrows should also activate once it finds a match.

Thank you for getting back to me, Jason. You are correct that Find & Replace is not completely greyed out in my case. The partial activation that I find when I tap to type the text field area is as follows:

  • The pull-down menu on the left activates (turns green)
  • The indicator lights in the top left of the box partially activate where the red & yellow lights activate but the green dot remains greyed out
  • The text field remains greyed out and does not activate/accept text
  • The next and previous arrows remain greyed out
