How to you access your itunes library on newer devices?

I started my iTunes library way back in the 90s through importing music from CDs and downloads long before iCloud and Apple ID were even a thing, this even goes back to before the first gen iPod. So most of my library is not tied to my Apple ID so I can’t access it through the typical way of the cloud on my newer devices, gotta do the old drag and drop or sync my playlist. I don’t really want to do Apple Music or other music streaming services as I don’t want to pay for those songs/albums again when I already have them. Just curious if anyone has found a way to get their library into newer devices?
