Has "Enable LTE" option been removed in iPhone 15 Pro?

I Can't find "Enable LTE" or any other option concerning VoLTE in

iPhone 15 Pro settings. Has it been removed and replaced by "Voice and

data" involving that VoLTE is always enabled and you only can choose

between 4g,5g or 5g auto?

So I have an iPhone 15 pro with iOS 17.2.1, then I want to activate

VoLTE, the carrier supports and offers it by default and you don't have

to do nothing in the carrier side, it comes by default with a SIM.

Googling for "enable VoLTE iphone 15 pro" I got this Apple support website: About the LTE options on your iPhone (updated last time on Sep 27, 2018) About the LTE options on your iPhone - Apple Support and it states that:

a) If your carrier supports VoLTE then you'll find Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options and tap Enable LTE or Settings > Mobile Data and tap Enable LTE. And the options inside "Enable LTE" are: (Off, Voice & Data, Data only)

b) If your carrier doesn't support VoLTE then the settings are under "Voice & Data" and the options are (LTE, 3G, 2G)

None of this shows in my iPhone.

The point here is that I have both a phone with VoLTE technology and a

carrier supporting it. I've tried 3 carriers with 3 brand new SIMs for

each carrier (Movistar, Vodafone and Yoigo).

Then I can't find any setting concerning neither LTE nor VoLTE

(settings' search box gives no results), the only option I can see is

"Voice & Data" but with different options inside (5g auto, 5g and

4g).

So I contact Apple support and after reseting network, updating iOS to

17.2.1 and after 3 different chats and 1 phone call with a superior, all

of them refer to the same website and saying it is a carrier fault,

that the menu option "Enable LTE" will show on my iPhone whenever a SIM

from a carrier supporting VoLTE is inserted and ask me to contact my

carrier (which I did). Then all 3 carriers says it is enabled by default

and nothing has to be done. Dead end!

Note: When using VoLTE capable Android device with any of

these carriers' SIMs, "VoLTE" is showed on top of the screen in

notifications bar. So carriers are not the problem in my case.

After some research, I discover that any non VoLTE device drops 5g or

4g networks to perform voice call because it goes through 3g or 2g

networks. Then I discover that my iPhone 15 Pro doesn't drop 5g nor 4g

networks and I can still enjoy a good 5g or 4g band-with while in a

voice call. So I may suspect that the referred website is outdated for

this model.

Then my question is: Has "Enable LTE" option been removed in iPhone

15 Pro and is it possible that iPhone 15 pro is using VoLTE without an

option to disable it and your only option is to choose (5g auto, 5g or

4g)???

Usually a non VoLTE phone will drop from LTE to 2g or 3g while in a

voice call, but this one keeps 5g connection while in a voice call.

Also if menu is called "Voice & Data" and is offering only 5g and

4g options, Shouldn't I suspect that Voice is going through 4 or 5g

(the one selected) and that support website is obsolete for iPhone 15?

Any one with the same model using VoLTE can confirm the mentioned

settings path or try searching for any setting containing "LTE" or

"VoLTE"?

Thanks in advance!

Same problem here in Belgium.

I have ios 17.1.2 on iphone 13 mini.

Also in Australia they discontinued GSM services: All phones must have VoiceOverLTE or else phone calls cannot be made.

LTE is 4G. Based on a screen shot you posted in another thread, your phone has that setting. "Voice over LTE" is an older setting that mattered when carriers were still using GSM/CDMA. Then, you had the option of using LTE for data only or using it for voice. Now, everything goes over LTE/5G. Your phone will work fine in Australia and the EU.

Don't you think if people weren't able to use their iPhone in those regions that it would be big news?

And update your phone.
