Can I take MacBook out of recovery mode? Apple ID is locked.

I bought a Macbook off of someone a while ago, recently went to sell it so reset it and now it's stuck in internet recovery because the Apple ID us locked to the previous owners account..

Apples told me there's nothing I can do and it sucks so much, so much money down the drain "/

The previous owner should have done this before transferring the Mac to you:

If you can get in touch with the seller, and get the Mac unlocked, you should carry out these steps before selling it to someone else.

If you can't find the seller, see:

A lot of the points in there apply to Macs that support Activation Lock, too.
