How can I remove an active Apple ID from a MacBook Air?

Hi,

Sold MacBook air online, when person got it they said I still had active apple id. Got it back, its a blank black screen with a padlock icon and a space for a password. No idea what it is. Help

Usually if you don't know the password to unlock it, then you will need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider assist you assuming you can provide valid proof of purchase & personal ID which is deemed acceptable by Apple.
