Should I use hard case or skins on my MacBook Air 13 inch laptop

I own a MacBook Air M1 2020. I want to protect it using a hardshell case or skin . Is it safe to use it without affecting thermal air flow ? Or, is it better to use a a protection sleeve instead ?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.2

No. Apple specifically admonishes us to never cover the keyboard with anything. You will prevent its ability to provide the required cool air intake while simultaneously inhibiting its ability to radiate the heat it generates. Do not use them.
