how to format table of contents as columns in pages?

I am setting up a table of contents for my document in pages. I really like that the items automatically appear via chosing header styles. I would like to format the table of contents as 2 columns: The problem is that the page numbers that automatically appear, always slip down to the next line. I would like the page number to appear on the same line so as to save space. Any ideas? Thanks

Since the tab containing the leader dots is too long, and the page numbers wrap, click the level 1 ToC entries and change the following Stops information by double-clicking its value:

to

and that changes the Level 1 entries to:

and as you alter the next level of ToC indents, the Stops value will be smaller than shown above for the first level indents. This will also be determined by whether you are using Letter or A4 page sizes too.

Oddly, I did not purposely set the tab stops to 7 cm but rather 15.0 and Pages changed it to 7 cm. Cannot explain that but it did result in right alignment of the page numbers.
