A music video would be generally be too long. Music files can be used.
Eg: 30 seconds of a mp3 music file could be used as a ringtone.
If you have Apple's free Garageband app on your iPhone, you can import music files, and export them to the iPhone as 30 second ringtones.
Else:
Seems you can use ringtones that are already on your iPhone, or buy one from iTunes
