My iMessage is turned on but I still get the message that I have to turn on iMessage.
Does the person RECEIVING the iMessage have to have it turned on as well? What about non iPhone recipients?

I have I messages turned on. Makes no difference to allowing me to send photos or messages to others. Please help this succinct information.
It’s the same as what everybody else is saying I can’t send photos. The message pops up that I have to enable iMessages. I went to the set up and it says the iMessages are turned on.
