Google Maps, iPhone, and sync3 in Ford

I run on the hwy (2020 Ford F150), iPhone 12, current software, plugged in. When using Google maps, voice over speakers works fine. When on the phone, the maps voice prompt does not work, hence making me pay attention to the maps or miss my turn. Is there a way to have Google maps voice over my phone call? (I've played with settings in maps app, I'm just too old to figure it out) thx
