Printer compatibility?

I have a 2023 iMac with Sonoma 14.2.1 and a MacBook Air 2015. I've read horror stories about printer compatibility. My HP 4630 will not come on. I've unplugged it and gone through all the online suggestions I've found...Nothing. I'm going to replace it. What are your suggestions for a replacement? I'd like to stick with an HP all-in-one inkjet.

Hey there!

The HP ENVY Inspire 7220e All-in-One Wireless Printer - Apple, available from the Apple Store, may be a good option for you. It’s AirPrint compatible and eligible for HP Instant Ink.

But will it print via cable as well as the scanner?

Only if the printer manufacture supplies and continues to supply drives for USB printing.

I’ve found AirPrint to be fickle at times.

Fickle is a poor description of the problem.

If you need help? Then you will need to provide detailed information about the Mac, the Printer, the Router and the Problem.
