Music corrupting on ipod

I have multiple iPods. My music library corrupts occasionally (only on the iPods) when I add music to it. The courrpted songs are different on every iPod. The Itunes library itself isn't corrupted. It's only on the iPod. What do I do to fix this?

In that case I would remove the faulty songs from the iPod and then put "fresh copies" back on. How you do this depends upon how you manage your iPod now. The choices are Sync or Manually Manage (both mentioned below):

SYNC:

    • if you use Sync to manage your iPod, choose one of your iPods and in iTunes' main library, untick (uncheck) the problem songs. You can do this in the Songs View; the tick-box (checkbox) is to the left of each song title
    • now connect that iPod to your iTunes Library and once the iPod icon appears at the top of the iTunes window, select it:

    • this will display the Device/Settings/Summary pane. On this pane, check that Sync only ticked songs and videos is ticked (checked):

    • tap the Apply (or Sync) button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window for this change to take effect. This will remove the unticked (unchecked) songs from the iPod
    • once the Sync has completed (and if you wish, you have confirmed that at least one of those songs has been removed), I suggest that you disconnect the iPod and fully play any one song on it. (This will cause the next Sync to have to do something)
    • now you can put the tick back on for each of those songs, then reconnect the iPod to iTunes and perform another Sync to put the problem songs back onto the iPod. Hopefully, iTunes will put a new copy of the songs to the iPod
    • disconnect the iPod and play one or two of the problem songs. Hopefully, they will play correctly
      • if the songs now play correctly, repeat this process for each of your iPod
      • if the problem persists, first try the procedure on another iPod to see if that works. If the procedure fails to rectify the problem, post back here for further advice, although at this time I'm not sure what that will be

MANUALLY MANAGE:

If you use Manually Manage, then you will have to delete each song from the iPod and then drag new copies from iTunes back to the iPod.

Note that even though the Manually Manage procedure looks quicker (because it has fewer steps) - be aware that it is not quicker at all.
