Trying to free up storage space on iPad I followed these steps:
I successfully deleted videos that said it was 1.88GB. After deleting and restarting the iPad I don’t see the videos anymore but it still says 1.88GB.

I deleted from the settings app, but I just went and checked and even in photos they did not show in my recently deleted.
Deleting the videos may have merely moved them to your “Recently Deleted” album so they could be retrieved if required. Scrub “Recently Deleted” if you choose to do so.
Did you delete the messages? Did you purge them from Recently Deleted Messages?
