My iPad won't stop spamming "Update Apple ID Settings"! + Low iPad storage.
Hello.
My iPad won't stop bombarding my notifications with "Update Apple ID Settings. Some account services will not be available until you sign in again." and I don't know how to stop it.
First off, for a while now i've been having "Sign into your Apple ID" pop up while I'm playing games or anything else. And most of the time, I just ignored it. But sometimes i would actually sign in so it stopped annoying me.
And the rate that was popping up was either once a day, or every other day.
And I don't know whether I'm misremembering that the "Update ID" and "Sign in" were the same things, but recently, maybe a few days ago if not today, the "Update Apple ID Settings" Started popping up WAY more.
Just now when I was trying to play a game, it was popping up literally every 10 seconds, seriously obnoxious.
And I don't know if this is related, but for maybe a week after I got my iPad, my storage has been almost always full and I have been trying to manage it, but at the point I'm at now, there's nothing I can do. I've been offloading a lot of my apps but i've never tried to redownload one after because of the status of my storage, so I don't want to offload anything that's too precious to me as I don't know whether it will properly download back, and I don't want to offload anything I think I will use a bit frequently.
Anyway, I was getting really annoyed by the rate the "Update ID" was popping up, and also my space being low would make it bring up "iPad Storage Full" as frequently as the other one.
At most 15 minutes ago I finally decided that I'll "Update my ID" so it will go away. (I should also mention the lack of space on my iPad makes some apps crash immediately and some menus impossible to open.)
When I started, it prompted me to input my Apple ID password. It always does that, normal stuff.
When I completed that, it then says "Enter your iPad password". I was wondering why it had me do another password but I followed anyway.
THEN this is where the main problem started. It prompted me to enter my old password, and I'm not sure it meant my old iPad password (I wasn't even sure if I had a different password before my current one, and I got my iPad very late August very early September.) or my old Apple ID password (Which I'm also pretty sure doesn't exist.) but I don't remember any passwords. There was "thankfully" a "Forgot Password?" option.
When I clicked, it started talking about how I would need to reset my End-to-End encryption or whatever, and when I clicked on the button to reset it, it brought up a confirmation saying stuff like it will possibly delete contacts, stuff from iCloud, and other things, so I was suspicious and denied. If anyone would be able to explain in better detail what deleting the encryption does, please tell me cause I don't want anything important being deleted if i really have to.
I couldn't figure out how to get around the "Old Passwords" thing, so I really need help with that, as well as what to do with my iPad storage.
Thanks.
