When it comes to iPhones, photos and apps aren't stored on the SIM card. Instead, they're typically stored in the device's internal memory or in the iCloud for backups. Therefore, whether you insert an old SIM card or a new one into your iPhone, it doesn't directly impact the transfer of data from another device.

Data transfer between devices like transferring photos, apps, contacts, and other information usually involves methods like iCloud backups, using software like iTunes or Finder on a computer, or utilizing specialized apps designed for data migration between phones. These methods don't rely on the SIM card for transferring data.

The SIM card primarily stores information related to your carrier, such as your phone number, contacts, and some network-related settings. So, when switching SIM cards in an iPhone, you might see changes in carrier-related information but not in the content stored on the device itself.
