Hold the option key when launching to choose or create a new library.

Any help on how your second post relates to your first? Or maybe how your second post relates to my reply to your first? Anything on how any of this relates to the title you've chosen for the thread? Remember we can't see your machine (or read your mind) so any help we can possibly give relies entirely the information you give us to work with. So we need a full description of your issue in all its facets. 26 words over two posts ain't going to get us very far...

Thank you for trying to help. This is my first time posting on my elderly husband’s account and I will use more words

I followed your instructions to hold option key when launching Photos and selected the photos library. I got an error message saying that library was from an older iOS and couldn’t be selected.

I had upgraded from Monterey to Ventura in November.

if I restore a backup from time machine I fear the results.
