Cannot uninstall an app on my iPhone

Going through your settings is possible, but just a more detailed way to do the same thing.

when you access the app through Settings/storage that shows how much storage space each app is using. Does it show it’s using any? And you are able to slide it to the left where usually you can delete/offboard?

I would try to open the app again & activate it through your home screen and then take a screenshot of what options you see when you hold down the app icon… I’m pretty sure that you chose the one you didn’t want, just removing it from your desktop… Not from your phone and deleting all the data/documents affiliated with it

if you did it properly, it will no longer show up in your settings/storage space

when you held down the icon for the app did it shake for a second and then give you the different options? Then I take it u chose remove from home screen… that’s different from deleting it, or removing it entirely from your phone.

sounds like you picked the wrong one

You chose to remove from home screen… You want to delete the app

What method are you using? I assume you just press on the icon for the app till it flashes and gives you the option to: edit home screen… you don’t want that that just allows you to move that app to another folder or desktop on your iPhone. After you choose remove you can either delete it all the way or just take it off of your phone but it still shows up in your app library, remove app, delete app…

Also, when you delete an app, make sure you’re not just off boarding it. If you offboard the app, it will hold onto your documents and data to use if you ever reinstall the app.

Can you open the app at all? You just removed it from your home screen rather than deleting it, or removing it from your phone entirely, as well as iCloud. Some screenshots of what you’re saying would be helpful.
