Why can’t I update my iPhone X to iOS 17?

Why can’t I update my iPhone X to ios17 I bought the Apple Watch 9 no one told me it’s wouldn’t work with my phone so now what? I opened it I can’t return it

Your iPhone X doesn’t have the necessary hardware to run iOS version 17. You are right, the Apple Watch series 9 has watchOS 10 and it is not compatible with your iPhone X and the iOS version installed on it.

If you purchased the Apple Watch from Apple, then you can return it for a full refund IF it was purchased within the past 14 days. If you did not purchase from Apple, then contact the retailer and ask for their refund policy.

Unfortunately once it’s opened unless it’s defective or damaged they won’t return it.

Here’s an idea for all the people you screwed into buying Apple watches that aren’t compatible with their phones. Why doesn’t Apple buy us all new phones!

I’m in the same situation as you are. Got an Apple Watch series 9 and I can’t use it with my Apple X phone.

I can’t return it because I opened the box. They should be labeling it right on the Apple Watch which phones are compatible with it,if they’re not going to make it compatible with all Apple phones, I’m not buying a new phone either.

Apple needs to make an update to all of our phones to work with them or they can buy us all new phones that are compatible.

Got an Apple Watch for Christmas can’t use it because my iPhone X can’t update. What is this all about? I’m NOT buying a new phone just so I can have an Apple Watch watch. What a SCAM! So frustrated! This needs to be fixed!!!!!
