Haptics when pushing volume side buttons since ios17.2 update

I updated my iPhone 12 Pro to iOS 17.2 tonight and suddenly when I push the side buttons to adjust the volume my phone vibrates 4 times very fast, like it’s activated a haptic now. The weird thing is it’s not constant. It vibrates when I push it once but not if I push it repeatedly thereafter. It’s annoying and I can’t find anywhere to turn the feature off!

Check Settings -> Accessibility -> Touch -> Vibration

When I toggled that off, the side button haptic stopped.

This is the most annoying update Apple has done. I cannot stand this. This is only when you are updating the ringer volume on Silent mode. I am only ever on silent mode, but adjust alarm volumes a lot. The constant haptics need to stop! I still want haptic feedback elsewhere on the phone though.

Whose idea was this? If this can’t be toggled off by itself, this may be my last iPhone. Ridiculous.
