Same thing here, but I never got a phishing attempt.

Same here only my iCloud subscription for 99 cents cant be renewed because my credit card is expired

( its not I’ve got two more years )

when I try to re entering my card it says this card is already registered…

I think itunes has a problem with billing issues and someone needs to alert apple support about it

This is being reported by several others today. If in N.America you can call 1-800-MY-APPLE for assistance.

FWIW mine is expiring and I’ve received no such notice.

• There is no such thing as iCloud 55 GB. The true plan is for 50 GB.
• The instructions are not correct. The options on devices are named differently.
• Apple emails have Apple branding, not iCloud branding.
• Personal messages have personalized salutations (Dear «first name»).

The phishing is likely in one of the inline links. Trying to get your payment details through a look-alike site.

i’m also getting this error, but i haven’t had a phishing attempt. and it let me make a purchase on monopoly go literally MINUTES before. the weirder thing is…my card is on file but doesn’t expire for a few more years

You might be able to get around it by adding another card, then remove the card that’s causing the error and add it back again . That’s if you have an extra card to use. You can’t remove a card if it’s the only one on file.

I’ve seen these twice in the last month, one for iCloud and the other for Music. They’re legit alright - no internet links to click (one had Settings instructions and the other had a button that opened App Store locally). The emails were from both Apple.com & iTunes.com (verified by examining headers). The extra 5G is the free included.

All that said, ignoring works.

Update apple billed me just now for 99 cents and it went through to my credit card no problem 😉… i guess they straightened out their problem with out me 😆
