I need to earase a device using an MacBookPro with iOS 11.7.9 or older.

My daughter lost the device's screen lock password, an IHPNE 8. I can't do anything. I want to erase everything.

Your macbook is not running iOS it is running macOS. you can perform the lost password procedure on a mac running macOS Big Sur with no problems. See this link on how to do that
