Can’t log out of Child’s Apple ID & iPad not showing under my devices

Initially had iPad Mini setup on my Apple ID and have now created a child’s one. I logged out of mine and logged in with child Apple ID.

Noticed the iPad no longer shows on my list of devices, so tried to logout of Child ID on iPad so that I could log back in with my own Apple ID, but the “Sign Out” is grey.

I have disabled the “Content & Restrictions” function as suggested in other forums, but still unable to log out of Child ID.

My end goal is to have the iPad still listed under my devices, but use the Child ID to log into the iPad.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Use this instructions:

Go to Settings and tap Screen Time.
Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode.
Under Allow Changes, select the features or settings that you want to allow changes to and choose Allow or Don't Allow.

Here are some features and settings that you can allow changes for:

Passcode Changes: Prevent changes to your passcode
Account Changes: Prevent account changes in Accounts & Passwords
Cellular Data Changes: Prevent changes to cellular data settings
Reduce Loud Sounds: Prevent changes to volume settings for safe listening
Driving Focus: Prevent changes to the Driving Focus
TV Provider: Prevent changes to TV provider settings
Background App Activities: Prevent changes to whether or not apps run in the background

And make sure that account changes are allowed

Try and turn off screen time all together to see if the Apple ID settings are still greyed out. You might also want to disable parental controls before you try again
