texting with non-IOS devices stopped working

iPhone 15pro, latest IOS version 17.2.1, have been texting for years, coordinating with my iPad Air and Mac M1 (2021). Starting two nights ago, all texting that isn't IOS related stopped working, on all three devices. This would include direct texting to someone with Android, mixed group texts with IOS/Android, and direct texts from financial institutions in order to type in additional codes during sign in's.

My wife has identical devices, iPhones/iPads/Macs......her stuff all still works. We're on identical IOS versions on all devices.

I've turned devices off/on, I've turned off/on iMessage in settings, I've shut down iMessage on each device and restarted. So far nothing has helped.

Any other ideas out there before I call AT&T for help?
