iTunes for Windows is an Unworkable Atrocity-is Music for Window promised for 2023 going to happen?
If you've tried to use iTunes on Windows in the past couple of years, you have all the details you need.

- iTunes for Windows freezes and the program can only be closed with Windows Task Manager.
- Songs the Music (subscription) playlists cannot be played because of "no internet connection" although the connection is good and works for all other apps and iTunes shows me a logged in. It requires that I log out and then back in again every time I use the app.
- Random songs that were previously downloaded (my music, not Apple DRM protected songs) are now listed twice with one showing that it cannot be downloaded and one as needing to be downloaded.
- Random songs that were previously downloaded now show they need to be downloaded and when clicked on on, just churn without downloading forever.
- Etc, etc., etc. - these problems are all reported repeatedly all over the internet.
I am aware of the "preview" version of Music for Windows which just as flawed as iTunes.
I guess the short answer is that Apple is too busy developing shiny baubles to dangle in front of its customers to bother finishing and debugging its current products. My conclusion is that it's time to replace my Music subscription with Spotify and to test MusicBee, MediaMonkey or other programs for managing and playing my library.
