I cannot update my card with a new expiration date, nor can I remove my card.

I get a warning that my card cannot be used because it has expired. Fine. I have the same card but now with an updated expiration date. I cannot edit the new expiration date, nor can I remove my card (because it still has purchases pending). So now my card and purchases are stuck in limbo. Get it together apple. This is ridiculous.

Nope. It won’t let me do that. It’s the same cc but just an updated expiration date. Then when I try to delete that card to add the same “new” card, it tells me, you can’t do that because there are still purchases pending. It’s a catch 22 that apple hasn’t considered. Frustrating as ****.

Sigh. Okay, I’ll try to explain this again: No can do. See our above comments. It’s the SAME CREDIT CARD!! But with a new expiration date. So when I try to delete the old card (same card but the old expiration date), then apple, in its infinite wisdom, tells me I can’t because there’s still pending charges…. Although Apple sent me emails saying I needed to update that card because it was no long valid. Then I tried to edit that cc to add the new updated expiration date. Nope! Apple won’t let me. Again. And I repeat. Catch 22. Apple! Get you SH$& together please.

Same problem here. I have a new credit card with the same number as my current card in apple pay, but with a new expiration date. There is no option to update the expiration date. I cant delete the card and re add it, because i have active subscriptions that require a payment method. Trying to add the new card in addition to the current card also results in failure: an error saying that i already have that card on file. This is pretty lame UX and should get patched.

I just found the work-around but!, the caveat is that you need to have a PayPal account. That’s one of the options. I have that cc linked to my PayPal account so I switched to that. Now that works. Still ****** me off that apple can’t get it together and fix this. They have to be aware of the problem.

I cannot update my card with a new expiration date, nor can I remove my card.
