Any solution to continue wearing Apple Watch SE despite nickel allergy?

I have had Apple Watches for about 8 years, used daily for exercise and general life.

I don’t get it wet.

I currently own an Apple SE watch, changed to a sub-par Amazon watch band, and started to observe a circular contact dermatitis beneath the watch face to the top of my wrist.

I’ve since changed back to the Apple Watch band but the dermatitis is persisting.

Has anyone found that besides a steroid cream, a permanent solution to fix it to enable watch wearing? I don’t want to go without!

Thanks

Not mentioned above. Nickel in the back crystal of the watch. Bands Yes, but look at the picture above. The skin reaction is from the crystal back of the watch. Not "Watch bands, the metallic portions" as stated in the attachment above. Work around, kitchen cling film.

Honestly ….as much as you want to keep wearing it you really shouldn’t if you are having a reaction. See your dermatologist and go from there. As far as a solution so you can keep wearing it….you will have to search for hacks people tried but there is no official fix. You may need to try the titanium option versus the aluminum or stainless steel

It mentions several areas including the release buttons (which could have contact with the skin), the casing which may have contact with the skin, the magnets (which would be the circular part of the back of the watch). So yes…while it doesn’t say the words “watch back” it does clearly mention areas that are part of the watch back (the entire back is not crystal alone). Point is, Apple does disclose nickel being in areas that do count as part of the watch back. You stated that they do not state it at all which isn’t accurate. The part you quoted was only a small portion and was from 2 different mentions (You quoted “Watch bands, the metallic portions” when the entirety of that area you took the quote from says “…the stainless steel portions of some Apple Watch bands, the metallic portions of the Hermès bands…” with other areas mentioned before and after that).

Like I said, the point is that Apple does indeed state that nickel is used in areas that are part of the watch back.
