Apple watch battery change

I just got my apple watch 5 battery serviced, they require that your battery is below 75%. In the apple watch setting it should tell you it needs service. They ran the diagnostic test on the watch and it failed the battery test. You should go back when your battery health is below the 75% threshold.

That’s odd (and it’s $99 out of warranty for battery service….at no point is it $300. Any other damage and it is $299 for non cellular version, $349 for cellular). According to Apple once it’s below 80% it should be replaced. Was this Apple directly or an authorized repair facility?

If it was truly Apple then all you would need to do is show them their own info from their website to force the service at the $99 fee. Unless you also had additional damage that created the $299/$300 quote. I’m that instance it does make sense because they won’t do anything unless you handle the other damage
