Suspicious looking popup says that a virus has been discovered on my iMac
I keep getting this popup and do not want to open it. Where are such popups stored on my iMac

That looks like a Safari Notification that would be coming from a website that was granted permission to provide notifications. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications, and either remove all or look for that gear icon for the specific website to remove.
