I noticed this book I’ve never seen or even downloaded a sample for in my library. Surely enough, when I tap it , it just takes me to the bookstore where I can buy the book, and when I go to more options, I can’t delete it. Now I am not interested in it at all, is this just some subtle advertising that can’t be removed? Not the Apple I know.

yeah I noticed they started adding recommended books to the top of my library since Dec of 23.
I have my library sorted manually and this is very annoying to me, you cannot remove them.
I will not buy any books apple forces advertising onto me.
Please fix this apple, I liked my library the way it was.

My solution to this, moved the books past my audio books collection and before my ebook collection where they are at the bottom. Even though a few of the books peak my interest, if apple is forcing them into my library I am not going to buy them.
