Hello I have an iPad mini 6gen and I bought it secondhand. It has an activation lock and is locked to owner. I tried contacting them but no luck. Any way I can get this removed ?

If you are talking about "activation lock" (an anti-theft measure), AND if you cannot remember or don't know the old Apple ID & Password (even using these instructions:--> If you forgot your Apple ID email address or phone number - Apple Support or these:--> If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support ) neither we, just users like you, nor Apple can help you, unless you are the original owner and you still have the proof of purchase (receipt/invoice reporting your device’s IMEI or Serial Number). Shouldn’t be this case, activation lock can be removed only by the previous owner, with the credentials that were used to activate that iPhone/iPad. Without those credentials, that device is useless to you.

No way to get this removed. If you are unable to get in touch with them, I’m afraid you have an expensive paperweight. This system is designed to keep unauthorized people from taking devices and using them. It’s designed very well and doesn’t have ways to get around it. If there were, then this would be a useless system.

If you can get in touch with the seller then you can get them to remove it from their account without even having to bring the device back to them, but without them working with you or if they sold you a stolen device then there isn’t going to be a way for you to get past the activation lock.
