M2 or M1 MacBook Pro & legacy 23" Apple Cinema Display - possible?

Hi. I'm about to buy either a refurbished M1 or a new M2 MacBook Pro, and would like to use my legacy Apple 23" Cinema Display as a second monitor and wondered if there is an adaptor that can connect the two together? Any pointers very welcome!

if that is your display, according to Everymac.com it has a Single-Link DVI input, and 1920 by 1200 resolution. DVI displays up to but not exceeding 1920 wide can use Single-link DVI.

That is instantly adaptable from HDMI with a cheap "all wires" adapter, -OR-

converted from USB-C with a slightly more complex adapter or adapter/cable.

Apple only sells official Apple adapters for Apple brand compatible devices that are currently on sale. All others are left as an exercise for the User.

The moment either device is not currently for sale, the official Apple adapter (if there ever was one) is GONE.

Apple's 'company line' is "we will provide products where we have something special to add".

The unspoken part of that is "we are NOT doing 'regular' commodity adapters"
