Screen Time individual apps not showing
I am the parent to a 14-year-old that has an Apple ID associated as a child and as a 14-year-old.
On MY phone ,under the family share section,I am selecting “screen time” under my child’s Apple ID.
Then I see where I can set time limits for general areas such as “games”, “social”, “finance”, and more.
Specifically under the “social” option, which I assume are things like text messages, Facebook , TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and more, I feel like I should be able to create specific time limits for each of those apps.
So, for example, I feel like I should be able to create a 30 minute time limit on TikTok, a one hour time limit on Facebook, a 15 minute time limit on Snapchat.
When researching how to do this specific time limit for specific social apps, Apple says to click on the section “social”, and then I should be able to see all of the apps under “social”, which I assume would be TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook,etc..
The problem is when I click on “social”no apps show up like TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook Instagram.
This would make it seem like like Apple doesn’t have the capability to set App specific time limits but rather only the ability to say across-the-board no matter what you decide to use TikTok Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, you have, whatever time limit you set. Say an hour. And then if you use that hour all in Instagram, now you can’t access, Facebook, Snapchat, text, messages, etc.
does Apple truly not have that capability or is there something wrong with my phone and set up? Thank you.
