email postmaster warnings of 90+% storage capacity used

I have an iPhone 11 with an iOS 17.1.2.

I have received a few emails from the "postmaster" advising my storage capacity is nearly maxed out. If I archive emails, will that free up storage capacity? Alternatively, can I use iCloud or other cloud storage? If so, how?
