I’m not receiving a sound notification for incoming text messages. I’ve followed online steps and gotten help on an Apple chat but it still isn’t working.

It will only alert on the watch if you have Wrist Detection on and you are wearing the watch. In that case it will only alert on the watch, but, as you are wearing it you will get the alert.
I do have an Apple Watch. I don’t always wear it though. Is there a way to override that so that I always get notified on my phone?
Still isn’t notifying me even after disabling the wrist detection. I’ve updated to 17 and rebooted the phone. I appreciate you trying to help.
Text message notifications. Even after a chat and following steps from several online sources, I still am not receiving alerts/notifications for text messages. I only get a vibration but no sound.
