Whenever I connect the charging cable to my phone and try to play a YouTube video, the video pauses. If I try to hit play again, it resumes for a split second and pauses again. This also happened with Spotify. As soon as I disconnect the cable, the videos play without issues. Luckily I have wireless charging but this isn’t ideal and is a big hindrance on the UX.
I’m on the latest iOS version 17.2.1 but I’ve been having this since iOS 16.

Having the same issue. I can’t find any solutions online. This happens while trying to play music. I’ll plug in the usb-c cable and music stops. I hit play but it won’t work. If I unplug cable, it will work fine.
Very disappointed in recently, they can’t seem to solve problems anymore, especially such simple ones that affect thousands of people. I have had since they came out however it may be time to switch things up.
Exactly the same with VW Golf 2023.
