my phone won't allow me to change my passcode. before this, no problem in choice of numbers or alphanumeric. but now, all kind of passcode is "easily guessed" and i am not allowed to override / change it. what's happening?

Did you read the screenshot you posted, it tells you why you can't save said passcode.
of course i did. initially i used alphanumeric with symbols and alphanumeric - the response is still the same. i am now stuck with this 6 digit passwode, i can't even change it to another set of 6 digit code.
