Sync what page I am on in Books.

I am reading the Elon Musk biography, so a large book. It wasn’t syncing between my iPad Pro and my phone so I stuck to my phone because I read there the most. I was 47% through.

I just bought an iPad Mini and wanted to make it my primary reading device but of course it wasn’t syncing there either. On the iPad Mini I reset Books syncing on iCloud. iPad Mini was still on the cover. I decided to just bookmark my last page on my iPhone and use that as a starting point. When I went to my phone it was reset to the cover just like the iPad Mini. So apparently syncing now works although the wrong way and I have no realistic idea on how to get back to where I was.

any thoughts on how to make this work right? Judging by other posts I should scrap Books and get the Kindle app.
