I have canceled subscriptions and the App Store is making me add a debit card and trying to debit my account when I have no active subscriptions. How do I bypass this?

If you have no subscriptions that are currently still active (they need to expire fully first) and you are not a family sharing organizer then you should be able to remove your payment method.
