MacBook Pro cannot connect to printer

I have a MacBook Pro running Sonoma, trying to connect to a Canon TS3522. The printer won't connect to the wifi network. The computer doesn't find the printer.

The Mac can not connect to the printer via Air-Print, if the printer is not connected to your local network.

see > About AirPrint - Apple Support

To connect the printer to your local network, refer to the Canon Support article or contact Canon Support for help.
