Fixed: iPhone battery drain issue post iOS 17 updates

same here I have until January 16 to return my phone Apple support gave me the same options they gave you, I didn't try to exchange my phone for another, because I don't think that would solve my issue based on the community here, it seems like the issue is widespread. I have a problematic iPhone 11 that I could go back to, but I don't really want to do that. It's just unfortunate this iPhone 15 I have in my hand cost me US$1029 that's not cheap. I hope Apple comes up with a fix, but I'm not confident about it.

fair point. I suppose it's disappointing to spend so much on what are supposed to be the top of the line iphone 15 devices, very costly, and the performance is worse than used iphone 11s and Apple is not offering any acknowledgement of the issues other than "you can return the device for a refund within the 14-day window after purchase".

I just ordered a charging cases for my iPhone 15 Pro, I’ll let y'all know if that helps, and if it allows me to keep on all of the settings that I've had to turn off to try to save my battery life. it is a 5000 mah battery case.

I thank you for the information, but I turned off all of that before I even set this phone up. I always do. Bluetooth included. I’ve been hacked many times on many phones (hopefully this one is safe so far).

also lately this phone is getting red hot even when not in use. My friend said her 15 gets hot and mine has been getting hot since I got it but now I am talking burning hot and I’m lucky if it lasts until 1 o’clock in the afternoon. I thank you for your attempt but I’m back to square one. I think we all got stuck if you want another truth.

I can tell you what it has to do with it! When you live on a budget, a new phone is a big extravagance.

thus, when the phone has an obviously common issue that affects its performance and you cannot use it half the time and you have to spend your time on something like this to see if somebody out there might know if there’s a fix that is why the two go together. Every year comes out with a new phone before Christmas people run to get the new phone only to find out it’s worse than any of the predecessors. I’m sorry but I think if you think about it and pray about it, you might understand it better.

My opinion only of course because we got stuck! My SE my 11 and my 12 had none of these problems and they did not get hot as a red poker while sitting in my pocket not being used.

Sometimes you have to use Bluetooth and for some people like you all the time. You should not have to rearrange your usage of what has become your identifier in life and possibly work because Apple has made a bad product.

Bluetooth needs to be on if you have a lot of Bluetooth devices you use as I do so this is not a good idea. Why does my iPhone 13 hold a charge while this 15 pro barely lasts 5 hours?

Not sure what the price of the product has to do with a technical issues but folks seem to love mentioning the cost of the product.

I guess I will just need to carry around a heavy power bank in my purse from now on. 😞
