Mac data recovery

Hi,

I have been using my macbook pro for last few months and had a lot of data on it. Today, I got a popup saying your keychain file not found or expired(I don't remember exactly), this popup was not getting removed so I decided to restart the laptop. When it got restart, all of my data is gone.

Can you please help me recover my data.

Thanks,

Abhishek Goyal

I have several comments. Your entry doesn't compute as it is presented. The Keychain app is part of the Mac's operating system which is write protected and can't be changed or deleted. Your Keychain app will be found in the Applications folder. If your data was removed, something else has to have occurred to cause it. It can be recovered from your Time Machine backup. You do have one, don't you?

If you have been connected to and using iCloud, it may be there for a short time. If we understood better what specifically occured when you"lost" your data, that might be helpful. For data to be fully removed it must be deleted. I presume you have not deleted your data. You can check to see if it may be in the Trash file. Did you possibly reformat the HD/ If so that would erase everything on it and it would b lost. But then you would have had to reinstall the operating system. More specifics would be helpful.
