Two Monitors in a MacAir M1

Everybody says that you can use a thunderbolt for HMD to USB-C... OK but after connect it... what I need to do to activate the monitor. Because is connected but does not show in the monitors.

The device Thunderbolt is ok, but can someone help in the settings to do?

The M1 MacBook Air can only support one external display in addition to its own screen. It cannot use 2 monitors.
